Board Meeting Community Questions

The #AlhambraUSD Board of Education will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, April 29th. During the meeting, staff members will present two reports: (1) Overview of the Alhambra Unified School District After School Education and Safety (ASES) and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Plans, and (2) Update on 6th-8th Science Textbook and Social Emotional Learning Curriculum Adoption. Community members are welcome to submit questions on either of these topics. These questions will be reviewed before the presentations are finalized and will also guide discussion by the board members. This form will close on Monday, April 28th at noon. Alhambra Day Nursery Foundation is offering $1,000 scholarships

Alhambra Day Nursery Foundation is offering $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors that have shown an interest in early childhood through grade 12 education or related fields of study involving children and plan to pursue this education in college.

Members of the community have asked how they can help students and staff members who have lost their homes in the recent wildfires. The Greater Los Angeles Educational Foundation is collecting funds to support fire relief efforts throughout LA County. Donors may designate funds for a SPECIFIC DISTRICT. To ensure funds are directed specifically to our local community, please make sure to designate your donation for the ALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT or ALHAMBRA USD (not just “AUSD”). Congratulations to Ms. Page Phillips, Mark Keppel High School's drama teacher and Visual and Performing Arts chairperson. In May 2024, Page was named Alhambra USD's Teacher of the Year. But even bigger news...on Friday, September 20th, Page was announced as a 2024-2025 LA County Teacher of the Year (TOY)!
